launch week
Happy Monday everyone.
It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here.
On Friday April 12th @ 12EST the official Millstone Audio lineup will be available for immediate purchase.
We will be highlighting and announcing different products, people, and processes every morning this week until then!
It feels pertinent to explain the how and why in a little more detail than an instagram caption would allow, so read on if you’re interested!

It’s a somewhat open secret that most of the initial products have been ready for some time. I’ve had a box of built pedals, two boxes of t-shirts, and a drawer full of stickers for, honestly, months. We probably could have sent our little boat out to sea by now, but it is very important to me that this goes perfectly. I want it that way. And you guys deserve it. In my experience working in the guitar pedal extended universe, there’s a prevailing attitude of, “toss this stuff out there, blast it on the ‘gram, forget about it a few days later, make the next product, and if there are any issues we’ll fix it in version 2.0” and…. I don’t want to do that. Mama didn’t raise a venture capitalist tech bro. I want to know that the things I’m asking you to buy are the best I can do (at least, the best I can do in this moment. I reserve the right to grow and improve!) and I want each of you to have the same confidence in me.
And that brings us to today!
I’m proud of where everything is, and I’m ready for each of you to see. I want to take this week to build up, celebrate, and live in this important moment. A lot of work has gone into building this project (obviously everything that goes into building and designing a guitar pedal, but a whole lot of behind-the-scenes activity too... I didn’t know I would be teaching myself graphic design and photography, but here we are) and all of those different components need their own time to breathe and be taken in! SO, my goal is to post teasers and/or blog posts every day this week before finally launching the webstore on Friday at Noon EST.
If you’ve made it this far and you find yourself asking, “What exactly am I looking forward to? What’s coming out on Friday?” You are asking the right questions. Sorry to keep you waiting with indulgent whatever just happened above. Let’s get into the chicken and biscuits!
1) The main event. a soon-to-be-revealed guitar pedal. You’ll get to read all about it, and I’ve got some really exciting demos lined-up too!
2) T-shirts. 2 different designs, lots of sizes. Hopefully something for everyone! You can see them soon.
3) Stickers. Not everyone wants a guitar pedal. Not everyone will want THIS guitar pedal. Many of us need the opposite of one more t-shirt. But we all like stickers, right? I’ve got several different designs, ranging from basic to very niche and stupid. So again, something for everyone.
4) a special edition / limited little guy that probably won’t be announced, but is available if you look for it :)
As far as prices go, I’m still totaling up manufacturing costs and determining final prices, to be honest. I will say that shirts will likely be $25, and the guitar pedals WILL BE ON SALE for a “launch day special” type deal that will not be the forever price. Stickers are a little weird, because shipping, but I will figure it out. Local pickup will be an option for anything, if you’re in the Athens area.
Thank you for coming along with me. I haven’t been this excited about something in a long time. I have a lot more to say, but I’ll save it for another day. Like, tomorrow maybe?
